QUESTION: 14 year old starting a business?Hey, I'm 14 years old and I want to start an online business. Something like selling Bags, Stickers, Wristbands, school/work Stationary supplies. You know, Just things like that. I just need to know What I will need to start off the business and if it is even legal for a 14 year old to start a business. So what are the basic things that I need to do? Thanks 🙂
Starting a business, even a small online business will cost you thousands, maybe hundreds of thousands just to start your domain name and get a starting inventory of supplies. Also, hundreds of business fail every year because nobody is interested in their wares. I just don't believe a website that sells small school supplies will be even remotely successful because of the massive competition. People can just walk down to their local Staples, Officemax, etc. and buy everything they can possibly want or need for school or work without shipping and handling costs. I don't mean to discourage you from being an entrepreneur, but make sure you read up on website-building and buying, e-commerce, state entrepreneurial laws, inventory and financial management, blah, blah. The wise thing to do is wait a few more years before starting a small business. Good luck Best of luck! God gives u good time or you.
